By the sea, facing the Atlantic Ocean, Les Terrasses de Kersiny is without doubt one of the loveliest spots in southern Finistère.
Moreover, staying on our establishment, you’ll quickly reach the Pointe du Raz, a dramatic headland in the neighbouring village of Plogoff.
The location is often compared to England’s Land’s End and takes its name from the Raz de Sein, a hazardous crossing between the peninsula and the Ile de Sein, known for violent currents and adverse sea conditions.
Furthermore, this explains the many lighthouses on the Pointe du Raz beauty spot and further afield across the Baie d’Audierne and Iroise Sea.
The high cliffs, towering nearly 70 metres above sea level, are a striking feature of the Pointe du Raz.
These cliffs are exposed to the wind and waves, giving them a wild, majestic appearance. From the summit of the cliffs, there is exceptional scenery in the Raz de Sein, with views over La Vieille and Tévennec lighthouses, as well as the Ile de Sein.
The Pointe du Raz is a designated conservation area, part of the Cap Sizun nature reserve, created in 1996. This aims to protect the local ecosystem. When walking through this scenic spot you can see various bird species, such as the common shag and red-billed chough.
Our Les Terrasses de Kersiny campsite is only 26 kilometres from the Pointe du Raz. Taking the GR 34, a long-distance hiking footpath which criss-crosses the Breton coast here, you can walk from the campsite to the peninsula. Allow nearly 4 hours to walk along a trail, enabling you to discover heavenly beaches, wild creeks and high cliffs, powerful ocean waves crashing against them!
You can get here in barely half an hour by car, but be aware that to protect the Point du Raz beauty spot, the car park was moved more than one kilometre to the east in the 1980s. From the car park, you thus have a 20-minute walk to reach the peninsula.

All the pitches are marked out by hedges, offering campers peace and privacy. All have an electrical connection. Moreover, the campsite is equipped with modern sanitary blocks, and you can also stay on one of our Premium pitches.
