Leave from the campsite<\/div>\r\n

After a hearty breakfast, you lace up your shoes and start your hike, walking on the cool sand on Kersiny beach, below the campsite. Your lungs fill with sea air, while the ocean takes on golden hues in the morning sunlight. The GR 34 (Sentier des Douaniers footpath) gently rises, already offering a breathtaking view over the jagged coast.<\/p>\n

Behind you, Plouhinec quietly comes to life, yet up ahead untamed adventure stretches out along the wild Cap Sizun peninsula cliffs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

Discover cliffs and hidden creeks<\/div>\r\n

You go past the Pointe de Lervily peninsula lighthouse and afterwards Cabestan cove. Very quickly, the trail leads you to the summit of steep cliffs. Make headway through gorse bushes and heather, lulled by the wind whistling and the call of seagulls.<\/p>\n

In places, small hidden creeks are revealed between the rocks. The crystalline waters and waves skimming over the pebbles entice you to contemplate the scene. You pause, caught in the moment, fascinated by the natural beauty of this wild coast.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

Lunch break opposite the infinite Atlantic Ocean<\/div>\r\n

After several kilometres, you reach Le Loc\u2019h harbour, a perfect spot for a well-deserved lunch break.
\nSeated facing the vast ocean, you get out your picnic; fresh bread, cheese and cooked pork meats, seasonal salad and fruit. The sound of the waves and the sea breeze make this moment still more enjoyable.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n \"Les<\/picture> <\/div>\r\n<\/div>

Into the wild heathland reaches of Cap Sizun<\/div>\r\n

Come the afternoon, the landscape changes, as you approach the Cap Sizun peninsula.<\/p>\n

The trail winds through heathland in bloom, where violet heather and yellow gorse bushes glow in the sunshine.<\/p>\n

You continue at a gentle pace, making the most of every detail in the landscape. An isolated stone farmhouse appears in the distance, bearing witness to the harsh and authentic lives of locals in this remote region.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

An encounter with marine wildlife<\/div>\r\n

Hugging the coast, you spot a group of grey seals resting on a rock offshore. You watch in silence, bowled over by their peaceful presence. Further on, a flock of terns dives with great precision into the water in search of fish. These fleeting moments, in the wild, serve as a gentle reminder that this region is an untouched and revered sanctuary.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

Sunset over the Pointe du Raz<\/div>\r\n

Approaching the end of the day, you arrive at the Pointe du Raz, a legendary windswept headland. Ahead, the vast ocean stretches as far as the eye can see. Far in the distance, the La Vieille lighthouse stands defiant against the elements.<\/p>\n

As the sun slowly sets over the horizon, the sky glows with gold, orange and purple hues. You stay here a moment, silent, admiring this impressive show. This is a magical moment, etched on your minds. One of the best memories during this day of unforgettable hiking.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n
